This includes ensuring that both our employees and clients – where operating hardware/software supplied by us – receive suitable training and support, as well as maintaining in-house and off-site hardware and software.

At our Head Office in Preston Road, Reading, Southern File & Data Management operate a 12 line, 20 extension Meridian telephone network via switchboard together with 3 fax, 4 modem lines and ADSL and microwave links to support a 1Mb permanent and secondary Internet feeds fully protected by a hardware firewall. This multi-line installation is designed to prevent customer queuing at heavy traffic periods often experienced around retrieval cut-off times.

We also use designated servers for Administration, Application, Database, Web and Terminal Services, thus ensuring system integrity and security throughout the organisation.

The Terminal Services Server and Applications, combined with hardware and software firewalls, allow secure remote access from any internal division of Southern File and Data Management as if operating from within a controlled IT environment.
